Oh yes, The Winkies. Well it’s still been 50 years since he’s done a solo tour! He’ll never perform in the States, so Europe in October might be the only option to see him live. I’m definitely going to the Venice show.
Eno did tour as a solo artist right at the start of his career backed by the Winkies, although the planned dates were cut short when he suffered a collapsed lung. Within the most recent 15-year timeframe he performed live with a collective under the name Pure Scenius in Sydney and Brighton (2009 & 2010), and sang four songs with Icebreaker in 2010.
