It's official! My new documentary about pioneering musician and artist Brian Eno will have its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

Big news: my new documentary about pioneering musician and artist Brian Eno will have its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, January 18-28. This is no ordinary documentary... it's a generative film that is never the same twice. Every time it screens, it’ll be different. It's a groundbreaking new approach that suits a groundbreaking artist like Eno. I can't wait for you all to experience it.

“Visionary musician and artist Brian Eno — known for producing David Bowie, U2, Talking Heads, among many others; pioneering the genre of ambient music; and releasing over 40 solo and collaboration albums — reveals his creative processes in this groundbreaking generative documentary: a film that’s different every time it’s shown.

Hustwit and creative technologist Brendan Dawes have developed a bespoke generative software designed to sequence scenes and create transitions out of Hustwit’s original interviews with Eno, and Eno’s rich archive of hundreds of hours of never-before-seen footage, and unreleased music. Each screening of Eno is unique, presenting different scenes, order, music, and meant to be experienced live. The generative and infinitely iterative quality of Eno poetically resonates with the artist's own creative practice, his methods of using technology to compose music, and his endless deep dive into the mercurial essence of creativity."

“Eno” Limited-Edition Prints

In preparation for the premiere of Eno, we’ve released a set of limited-edition art prints for the film designed by Build and inspired by the generative system we’ve created for the film. A2 size (16.5” x 23.4”) in a numbered edition of 250 copies, all individually signed (with a broken hand) by yours truly. The two prints are designed to be standalone pieces or they can be displayed side by side in a never-ending sequence.

There are a limited number of these prints available and they will not be reprinted. See more photos or grab a set now.
